Un domingo en la tarde, hace unos meses atrás tuve visitas inesperadas a tomar el té. Como buen día domingo, en mi casa por lo menos, no había pan, ni jamón, ni huevos ¡Ni nada! Y no había tiempo de ir a comprar algo. Así fue que abrí mi refrigerador con la idea de inventar algo. Encontré una masa hojaldre para quiche o para Pascualina de esas que venden en el supermercado y lo que quedaba de un frasco de pasta de chocolate y avellanas. ¡Y se me ocurrió! Croissants de Nutella ¡Fueron un éxito! Los hice en 5 minutos y los metí al horno. Mientras terminaba de poner la mesa y hervía el agua ya estaba listos. Su mejor versión es tibios!
One Sunday afternoon, a few months ago I had unexpected guests for tea time. As good as any Sunday, in my house at least, I had no bread, no ham, no eggs ¡No anything! And there was no time to go buy something. So I opened my fridge with the idea of inventing something with the content. I found a puff quiche dough or Pascualina, the kind you can find in the supermarket and what was left of a jar of chocolate and hazelnut paste. And I saw the light! Nutella Croissants. They were a hit! I made them in 5 minutes and put them in the oven. While I finished setting the table and boiling water, they were done. Best version while warm!
