¿Les gustan los muros de galería, como a mí? Con lindas fotos, grabados, láminas y algún poster con una frase que nos guste o nos inspire es un must. Muchas veces les dejamos acá buenas frases dibujadas, pero hoy les vamos a mostrar una herramienta on line para que puedan hacer sus propios posters, en varias plantillas: es Recite This, un sitio en el que escribimos la frase que queremos, elegimos un diseño y nos deja descargar el poster y compartir la imagen en varias plataformas. ¡Muy entretenido y fácil, para cambiar seguido lo que tenemos en la pared!

We leave some hand drawn for you very often here, but today we're going to show you an online tool for you to make your own posters with several templates: it's Recite This, a site where we write the words we want, choose a design and it allows us to download the poster and share the image on multiple platforms.Very fun and easy to use, so we now can switch what we have on the wall more often!

 Ganas de todo esto tengo para el otoño: piezas luminosas con cojines y chales, ideales para leer, un té caliente con un poco de leche en una taza que ocupe toda la mano, lanas suaves, plantas verdes, higos con queso crema y miel, pizza hecha en casa, botas cafés y sombreros, juegos con las manos, animales que den ganas de abrazar.... no es lindo?

   I'm feeling like all of this for this fall: bright rooms with cushions and throws, great for reading, a hot tea with a cloud of milk inside a cup that fits the whole hand, soft knits, green leaves, figs with cream cheese and honey, homemade pizza, brown boots and hats, playing with our hands, huggable animals... isn't it lovely?

   Faltan diez días para que el verano nos deje, hasta que lo alcancemos de nuevo el la vuelta al sol. Ha estado rico! Las hojas de a poco están cambiando de color  y empezando a caerse, por eso es el momento justo para pensar en llenarnos de verde dentro de la casa. Busquemos plantas que nos gusten, que nos alegren y las ponemos en platos, fuentes, maceteros, tazas, floreros, canastos, tarros, lo que sea! Tenemos que fijarnos siempre de que tengan un buen drenaje, con piedritas al fondo y también un plato de desagüe, para que no echemos a perder el piso o los muebles. La comida queda más rica en una cocina con plantas, en serio! Y dormimos mejor en una pieza con verde, el living está vivo y la entrada invita cuando tiene plantas. Las sucuentas y cactáceas se usan mucho, pero pueden encontrar acá una lista de plantas que purifican el aire de la casa además, ideal para cuando tengamos que prender estufas.

   We are 10 days away from the end of summer, until we catch it again around the sun. It has been so nice! Leaves are starting to change color and fall off, so it's the right time to fill our home with green now. Let's look for plants we love and that cheer us up and set them in plates, bowls, pots, cups, baskets, cans, whatever we have handy! We have to check they have a good drain, with little pebbles at the bottom and a plate to hold anything, protecting our floor and furniture. Food tastes better when it comes from a kitchen with plants, really! And we sleep better with a green room,  the living room is alive and the entrance hall is inviting when it has plants. Succulents and cacti are on trend, but you can also look for air purifying plants, which is great for heaters time.

   Cuando tenemos algún proyecto para la casa en mente todos tenemos muy claro que hay montones de ideas e inspiración en internet, el problema es que de repente puede ser demasiada y las palabras que ponemos en los buscadores nos dan resultados infinitos con poco filtro. Entonces se agradecen las galerías visuales con buen gusto!    When we have some project in mind for our home we know we can find inspiration and ideas on line, but when we enter key words in a search engine we might get tons of them without much filter. That's when we appreciate some good taste visual galleries! Let me introduce you to two magazines that have them and can help us think with their organized photo galleries; if we like something, click it and you'll go to the article where the photo comes from, with other angles and sources.

1.- Domino gallery: la revista Domino se reinventó para abrir de nuevo sus puertas el año pasado, luego de haber salido un tiempo de circulación. Hoy están disponibles en línea y tienen además tienda. Para entrar al sitio hay que registrarse. / Domino magazine reinvented itself to open it's doors again last year, after some time out of circulation. Today, they're available on line and they also have a store. To enter the site, you have to register.

2.- Elle Decor, sweden: la revista Elle Decor tiene versiones en muchos países, pero una de las que lleva tendencia hoy es la edición sueca. Justo esa acaba de disponer una galería de imágenes para que las disfrutemos! Además con la correspondiente traducción la podemos hasta leer, imperdible. / Elle Decor magazine has a number of editions from different countries, but one of the trendy ones is the swedish edition. That same one has just launched a image gallery for us to enjoy! Plus, with the proper translation, we can even read it, a must.

   Michael venía de familia de artesanos, pero no siguió con la curtiembre de su papá, lo suyo era la carpintería. Y también la creatividad. He saw all the potential in the soft light beech wood, impregnated it with glue, and bent it to hot steam. The result: a style chair, light and unique, and with fair price. Trade show after trade show, took them to sell, until he met the prince of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, his admirer! and he took him to Vienna with his wife and eleven kids, from where he filled the world with hundreds of his beech designs, sometimes including reed; they all came from the factory with his name: Thonet.

   Hoy la marca sigue viva, con sus diseños y renovándose constantemente. La silla nº14, la "silla de cafetería" es un clásico que nunca va a pasar de moda, las hemos visto tanto y todos tenemos algún recuero de ella: en el comedor de los abuelos, en el escritorio de la mamá. Las sillas Thonet son tendencia y además una inversión que vale la pena. Las pueden encontrar en muchas partes y si van por ellas a una feria de antigüedades, siempre revisen que los tornillos estén bien firmes, así les van a durar para siempre. A mí me encantan las mías!

   Today the brand is still alive, with his designs and constantly renewing itself. The nº 14 chair, the "cafe chair" is a classic that will never go out of style, we've seen it so much and we all have some memories of it: in the dining room of our grandparents, at Mom's desk. Thonet chairs are now a trend, plus a worthwhile investment. They can be found in many places and if you go for them to an antiques market, always check that the screws are tight and they will last forever. I love mine!
