Parece que ya podemos ir guardando esos sweaters gruesos, cierto? Y los abrigos también! La primavera está deliciosa! Pero tenemos que tomar nuestras precauciones, porque más luego que tarde los vamos a necesitar de nuevo. Tenemos que hacerle la guerra a las odiosas polillas. Los repelentes que venden tienen un olor muy malo, como que repelen a los humanos también, qué tal si hacemos unos naturales, con hierbas e ingredientes que tengamos en la casa?

   It seems that we can store those heavy sweaters, right? And the coats too! Spring is delicious! But we have to take our precautions, because sooner then later we will need them again. We have to battle the hateful moths out. Repellents sold have a very bad smell, that repel humans too, what if we make some from natural herbs and ingredients that we have at our home?

   Las plantas que las repelen naturalmente y que además van a dejar un rico olor en nuestra ropa son la lavanda, el romero, la atanasia, el clavo de olor y el ajenjo. Las maderas: el cedro, el quillay y el canelo. Así que juntemos nuestras ramitas y hacemos unos saquitos para poner en el closet.

   Plants that naturally repel them and also will leave a rich smell on our clothes are lavender, rosemary, tansy, clove and wormwood. The woods: cedar, and cinnamon quillay. So let us pick some twigs and make a few bags to put into the closet.

   Imposible que no se vea elegante cualquier cosa vestida en azul marino y oro! Los espacios se ven más adultos y tranquilos, y con esos colores todos nos vemos bien. Por qué no hacer la prueba esta temporada, cambiar el negro por el azul oscuro, darle vida con amarillo. Los opuestos se atraen, esta es la prueba.

   Impossible not to look elegant in navy and gold! Rooms look grown up and calm, and we all look good with them on. Why don't we leave black for a while and change it to navy with a twist of life in yellow. They say opposites attract, this is the proof.

Y dos tenidas que se verían perfectas también con un chaleco largo y botas, o no?

Me gusta mucho! y a ustedes? / I lie this a lot!, do you?

   El tiempo, el internet y la tecnología me dieron la razón. Hoy todos quieren ser nerds. O pernos, o geeks, o como quieran llamarnos. Porque nuestros compañeros más pernos resultaron ser los que mejor enfrentaron la vida después, porque aprender hace que nos podamos desenvolver en este mundo que se mueve tan rápido, porque con una buena idea un nerd puede ser exitoso a los veinte años.  Anteojos, tomates en el pelo, parches en los codos, fórmulas matemáticas, Star Wars y Sheldon Cooper. Pero, ojo, no se trata de disfrazarse, hay que ser, no sólo parecer! Ser tranquilo, estudioso, lector, esforzado y capaz de asombrarse con la música y las ciencias, es la clave. Vivan los nerds!

   Time, internet and technology said I was right. Today, everyone wants to be nerd. Or geek or however you want to call us. Because our nerdest schoolmates where the ones that faced life the best, because learning makes us able to develop the right way in this fast era, because a nerd with a good idea can be successful at age twenty. Geek glasses, hair buns, elbow patches, math formulas, Star Wars and Sheldon Cooper. But, beware, it is not about using the costume, you have to be, not to look like! Be easy, smooth, studious, bookish, hard working, and with sense of wonder about music and science, that's the key! Viva the nerds!

   A selection for you of a classic that is coming back in glory. My Design*Sponge book arrived today and the first page was of pink chevron....promissing. I haven't read it yet, so I'm telling you about it some other day.

Se dieron cuenta de la invasión de marioshkas, búhos y bigotes o mostachos que hubo? Vasos, collares, aros, géneros y un largo etcétera. Pues ahora la llevan las llaves antiguas, las huinchas de medir y las flores de hinojo. Ahí les va la nueva invasión:

You certainly did notice marioshkas, mustaches and owls invasion. Glasses, collars, earrings, fabrics, and a long etcetera. Well now it's time for old keys, measuring tapes and queen anne lace. Here it goes, the new invasion:

En el hemisferio norte ya vienen de vuelta, pero por acá están recién llegando como una avalancha: las rayas. De todos colores y anchos, en todas las cosas. Y si están amarradas por una cuerda de algodón con un ancla colgando, mejor. Acuérdense que para verse más flaca, tienen que ir para abajo! Úsenlas, porque son clásicas y sentadoras, pero no todas juntas, para no marear a nadie, como sí lo vamos a hacer acá:
