Entre el 17 y el 22 de Enero estuvo abierta la exposición de diseño, mobiliario y objetos que muestra las tendencias para la próxima temporada de verano boreal. Estuvo llena de texturas, con muchos colores para alegrar la casa, pero muy enfocada también en hacerla más práctica. Con representantes de todo el mundo, destaca el desarrollo de objetos hechos en Francia, Alemania y Dinamarca, aunque por supuesto también el chileno, a través de Chagual.     Between January 17th and 22nd , this design, furniture and objects exhibition was open, showing the trends for the upcoming summer season. It was full of textures, with many colors to brighten up the house, but also very focused on making it more practical. With representatives from around the world, highlights came from objects made in France, Germany and Denmark, but of course also from the chilean Chagual.    Van a ir a pasear por ahí este fin de semana? Les recomiendo tres cosas: Una vuelta por el Palacio de la Moneda, para aprovechar de ver en su último fin de semana la instalación de Fernando Cassempere "Out of Sync" en los jardines de adelante. Después bajan al Centro Cultural CCPLM y visitan la exposición "Grandes Modernos", de la colección privada de Peggy Guggenheim, notable! Estará en exhibición hasta Enero.

   Are you going to stroll out there this weekend? I recommend you three things: A tour around the Palacio de la Moneda, to get to see on it's last weekend the installation by Fernando Cassempere "Out of Sync" in the front gardens. Then down the stairs to the CCPLM Cultural Center and visit the exhibition "Great Moderns", from the private collection of Peggy Guggenheim, remarkable! Will be on display until January.

   Hola, hola, ratón con cola! ¿Cómo estuvo el fin de semana ultra largo? Ojalá que lo hayan aprovechado y que hayan podido descansar. Por acá estuvimos disfrutando de las bondades de la cuidad vacía, estaba tan linda! La pena es que ya volvieron todos, jaja! Luego les mostraremos uno de los paseos... Pero ahora, lo que nos convoca en un lunes: qué hay de nuevo.

   Hello, hello! How was the weekend? Hopefully you have been able to rest. Over here we had a super long one and we were enjoying the benefits of the empty city, it was so nice! The pity is that everyone is back now, haha​​! Later we will show one of the tours ... But now, what brings us together on a Monday: what's new.

   En estos días se han lanzado aparatos nuevos, sistemas operativos y más, pero para qué mostrarles algo que nos pide comprar, mejor algo que nos lleve a aprender a través del mundo. Hay dos proyectos de google que llaman la atención por el aporte creativo:

   During these days they have launched new devices, operating systems and more, but why show you those things that asks us to purchase something, maybe something that leads to learning throughout the world is better. There are two google projects that draw attention for the creative contribution:

   Es como el Street View de los museos. Han alcanzado un catálogo muy completo de las obras de arte de los principales museos del mundo, podemos ir a conocerlos en  un par de clics, a todo detalle, alta definición. Podemos casi tocar las pinceladas de los grandes pintores, ver técnicas de color, la restauración de las obras, y la belleza de las esculturas. Si no han pasado a visitarlo ahora último, háganlo. Es una fuente buenísima de enseñanzas para los niños también.

   It's like the Street View of museums. They have reached a very comprehensive catalog of the artworks from museums around the world, we can get to know them in a couple of clicks, full detail, high definition. We can almost touch the brushstrokes of the great painters, see color techniques, restoration of the works, and the beauty of the sculptures. If you haven't visit it by now, do it. It's a very good source for teaching kids too.

   Este es un experimento de conexión global, al que podemos acceder sólo desde el navegador Chrome de Google. Nos asignan un ícono geométrico y podemos interactuar con personas y robots que están a  miles de kilómetros de nosotros. Podemos formar parte de la orquesta global, ingresando nuestros sonidos, igual que cuando empezamos a hacer música en la mesa con mucha gente. Podemos también escuchar en vivo los sonidos de otras ciudades del mundo, o ver cómo nuestro retrato es dibujado en la arena. Es entretenidísimo! Son cinco experimentos que se están presentando en tiempo real, mientras interactuamos en el museo.

   This is an experiment of global connection, which can be accessed only from the Google Chrome browser. We are assigned a geometric icon and we can interact with people and robots who are thousands of miles away. We can be part of the Global Orchestra, entering our sounds, just like when we start making music in a crowded table. We can also hear live sounds of other cities in the world, or watch how our portrait is drawn on the sand. It is highly entertaining! There are five experiments that are showing in real time, as we interact in the museum.
