Ayer me martillé un dedo. Me pasa todo el tiempo, probablemente debiera usar anteojos cuando martillo. No fue mucho, menos mal, sólo de rebote. Pero sí me quebré la uña, salía una punta odiosa, de esas que se enganchan con todo, lo malo es que si me la cortaba llegaba directo al dedo. Les apuesto que les ha pasado más de una vez. 

   Yesterday I hammered one of my fingers. Happens to me all the time, I should probably wear glasses when I hammer. It wasn't much, thankfully, only from a rebound. But I broke my nail, leaving an odious point peeking, one of those that get hooked with everything, the bad thing is that if I cut it I'll get straight to the finger. I bet it's happened to you more than once.

Cómo arreglar una uña quebrada

How to mend a broken nail

tijeras / scissors

papel de una bolsa de té / tea bag paper

barniz de uñas / nail polish

lima de uñas suave / soft nail file

1.- cortamos un pedazo de papel de bolsita de té del tamaño que necesitamos para cubrir el pedazo de uña partido. / cut a piece of paper from a tea bag of the size you need to cover the piece of broken nail.

2.- con las manos limpias, nos damos una pasada de barniz en la uña y ponemos el pedazo de papel encima, lo apretamos un poco y dejamos secar. / with clean hands, we spread one coat of nail polish over the nail and put the piece of paper on top, press a little and let dry.

3.- cuando esté seca la uña y el papel pegado, le damos una segunda capa de barniz, esta vez encima del papel. Dejamos secar. / when the nail is dry and paper got attached, we give a second coat of polish, this time over the paper. Let it dry

4.- Una vez seca la segunda capa, recortamos cualquier exceso de papel y limamos la uña para que no quede alguna astilla salida. Después con una lima muy suave quitamos las asperezas por encima del papel, para que quede liso y listo. Ya no se engancha en ninguna parte! Además está lista para pintar encima del color que quieran. Cualquier desastre, lo limpian con un cotonito con acetona. / Once the second coat dries, we cut off any excess paper and file the nail so that there isn't any splinter going out. Then with a very mild lime remove the rough edges over the paper, so that it is smooth and ready. It's no longer getting hooked! Besides it's ready for being painted with the color you want.

5.- Dejamos crecer la uña lo que sea necesario para cortarla con seguridad. Queda muy firme, así que no hay problema con ir cortando de a poco en el tiempo. /We leave the nail grow as necessary to safely cut. It's very strong, so there is no problem with going for a little cut every once in a while.
